A world of illusions. If you cannot play, do not enter this world
If you can’t play the game, don’t enter this world of illusions…
The virtual can often turn out to be a truly dangerous world of illusion.
If you cannot play, do not enter this world.
Above all, never trust anyone who tells you that you can fulfill your dreams by living a second life.
It is a lie, and it can become hell, because it can make you suffer by creating addiction.
And if you do not have enough balance, if old ghosts and dramas that have never been overcome are brooding inside you, if in your unconscious you are constantly looking for white screens on which to project your problems, then take my advice: let it go.
Also because you would not only be hurting yourself, but especially those who have nothing to do with your problems.
When you play, you play roles, you experience situations, and with your imagination you build a world of illusions that will serve you to walk the path that will one day lead you to adulthood.
But if you have never grown up, if that kind of impermeable barrier that separates reality from fantasy has not yet formed around you, if for you play becomes life and life becomes play, if the role you play never ends, if you can no longer understand who you are between the person moving on the screen and the one typing on the keyboard, and if you believe that those moving pixels can satisfy your innermost urges or prove to be the panacea for all your ills…then avoid entering a virtual world.
Because playing games does not mean making fun of others, it does not mean cheating, it does not mean using every trick in the book to achieve a goal for the sole purpose of taking home the prize.
But it does mean limiting that space to the themes that can be developed there, to the exclusion of everything that has no reason to exist in a digitalized world ; such as love, sex, and everything that, in the total absence of real physical contact, is only the hologram of something that exists only in your imagination, but which, even if you despair, you can never have.
If you do not leave out the upsets, the discontent, the tantrums, you will be left with nothing but frustration at not having materialized that desire.
A disappointment that may even condemn you to live forever in a limbo populated by ghosts.
Intangible realities of which you will never even be certain of their existence.
And finally, if you really wanted to play, at least bring some of that healthy balm that in your childhood often gave you a way to overcome moments of melancholy.
The only reason that should really make you play : lightness.
