What would be left if we stopped dreaming ?

Dreams. But life doesn’t always have a happy ending

Whenever we tell a fairy tale to a little boy or girl, we know that life does not always have a happy ending.
We have experienced this first hand many times.

So why do we do it ?

We do it to protect them.
Because we have seen how hard, unforgiving and often unfair life is, but we cannot tell that little girl or boy.

Of course we cannot use these words:

Learn to live your life on your own (or alone).
Never rely on anyone, on anyone at all.

Rely solely on your own abilities.
No blue princes, fairies, or superheroes will ever come to help you“.

Dreams. But life doesn't always have a happy ending
Dreams. What would be left if we stopped dreaming ?

Especially in the first years of our life, what drives our daily existence are dreams that, unfortunately, almost never come true; others, on the other hand, betray us in the most beautiful way, and still others can destroy our lives.

But if we stopped dreaming, what would be left for us ?
The reality for all and sundry is hard enough in itself, even with a family behind us…of course for those who are lucky enough to have it.

Unfortunately, this is not always the case.
Sadly, there are also those who, from an early age, find themselves alone (or lonely) to face their fate.

Later, when we become adults, we very often want to appear different from who we are, with the result that we eventually find ourselves in a vicious cycle with no end in sight, a purposeless race.

It is at this point that we rediscover our childhood dreams, let our imaginations guide us, and embark on a new and different path to be traveled with determination and, above all, awareness.

For it is only by growing up that we can become aware of our worth and strength, beyond all social labels, and freely and courageously choose our way out of that gray existence whose only purpose is to survive, not to live.
