Going to the moon, it is not that far.
The farthest journey is the one within ourselves.
Nobuyoshi Araki

Nobuyoshi Araki is one of the most prolific erotic photographers of all time.
His career began with the publication of A Sentimental Journey, a reportage of his own honeymoon, including sex.
His wife would remain his favorite model until her untimely death, and his camera would never again abandon this intimate, voyeuristic vocation.
Araki’s images are predominantly of women.
Through the female body, he documents its beauty and sensuality.
In Tokyo Lucky Hole he documents the Japanese sex industry between 1983 and 1985, with images from Kabukicho, Tokyo’s red-light district.
And each one seems to tell a story of desire.
His series of bondage photographs is also well known.
Provocative and transgressive, he has worked as a photographer for Playboy and has paid for it several times with jail time for obscenity.
But through it all, he never stopped exposing his beloved female figures.
