Schoolmates. The vast majority of Italians do not want to admit that time has passed

We are ordinary people struggling with the daily problems of life, more or less difficult.”

Schoolmates. The vast majority of Italians do not want to admit that time has passed

Schoolmates
Schoolmates. The answer is quite simple…

In many countries, especially in Anglo-Saxon countries, it is customary to organize parties for 20, 30, 40 or 50 years after graduation.
In Italy, however, this practically never happens.

I wondered why these reunions are so successful abroad and so rare in Italy.

The answer is quite simple.
The average Italian is very suspicious of his neighbors and very jealous of his own privacy.
At the same time, they are very curious to know everything about others.

In other cultures, however, the attitude is very different : definitely more supportive and open.

In fact, it would be enough to think that time has changed us not only physically, but also (and especially) in our character and in our expectations.

The most beautiful woman and the most handsome man are still fascinating people, but they can no longer arouse the envy of the past.

Former top people are normal people and are no longer considered little scientists.
Former athletes often do not even jog in the morning.

For this very reason, the habit of seeing again, after dozens of years, the people who saw us young and full of dreams, is not widespread and, above all, not liked by us.
The vast majority of Italians do not want to admit that time has passed.

And what used to make us different now unites us all a little, beyond professional, sentimental and personal successes (or failures).
